Suffragette Hanging Ornament
Will dispatch from 16/03/26
This handcrafted hanging decoration features a striking Suffragette inspired design, celebrating the courage and determination of women who campaigned for the right to vote. A meaningful piece for anyone passionate about women’s history and social change.
The Suffragettes were part of the British Women’s Social and Political Union, founded in the early 1900s to fight for women’s suffrage. Though their campaigning was interrupted by the First World War, their legacy led to women gaining the vote in 1918, with full equality following ten years later.
Designed by London based makers St Nicolas, each decoration is carefully handmade using traditional embroidery techniques. St Nicolas works closely with skilled artisan partners in Thailand and Northern India and is a proud member of the British Association of Fair Trade Suppliers.
