Rame House Eco Kitchen Sponge Cloths
A simple swap for a more sustainable home.
Perfect for wiping surfaces and washing up, this set of two reusable sponges offers an eco friendly alternative to traditional dishcloths and plastic sponges. Made from natural, renewable materials, they are plastic free, super absorbent and designed to be used again and again.
To use, simply place the dry sponge under the tap to rehydrate it. As it becomes wet, it turns soft and springy and is ready to use. After cleaning, rinse and leave to dry.
To freshen up, pop it in the washing machine or dishwasher. Each sponge can be reused for 6 to 12 months, depending on use. When it reaches the end of its life, cut into strips and place in your compost bin or paper recycling.
Made from 70 percent regenerated cellulose and 30 percent cotton fibres, these sponges are biodegradable and compostable. Also known as Swedish dishcloths, they are a long lasting, planet friendly choice that helps reduce plastic waste.
Why we love them?

- Vegan and cruelty free

About the Maker: Helen Round create beautifully hand-made products using ethically sourced materials and traditional techniques, designed to help people live more sustainably. The brand began in 2012 at Helen’s kitchen table, born from a desire to move away from disposable consumerism and create timeless, long-lasting pieces for the home. Today, the business has grown into a dedicated team of ten, all united by the same purpose.
Inspired by Helen’s background in fine art textiles, a love of fabrics, and printmaking, their designs are known for their gentle simplicity - reflected not only in the products themselves, but also in the materials chosen and the way they work.
Sustainability sits at the heart of everything they do. They primarily use European-sourced linen and bamboo, materials chosen for their durability, low environmental impact, and longevity. Their linen is Oeko-Tex® certified, ensuring high environmental and safety standards, while their bamboo is a highly renewable resource that regenerates quickly with minimal waste.
Helen Round are committed to minimising waste at every stage of production, reusing offcuts in other products and creative collaborations, and continually working to reduce their carbon footprint. With initiatives such as solar-powered printing, responsible sourcing, thoughtful packaging, and a clear focus on renewable energy, they are steadily working towards a net-zero future, creating products that are made to last, and made with care for the planet.
